Summary
This study tested a school program called Preventure, which aims to prevent alcohol and drug misuse in teenagers by targeting four personality traits linked to substance use. About 3,900 high-risk students from Canadian high schools took part. The program uses group sessions to teach coping skills tailored to each personality type, with the goal of delaying or reducing substance use and protecting cognitive development during adolescence.
