Shiver no more: new study tests two drugs for Post-Surgery chills

Summary

This study tests whether hydrocortisone or dexmedetomidine works better to prevent shivering after abdominal surgery with general anesthesia. About 70 adults having abdominal surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two drugs. The goal is to see which drug more effectively reduces post-operative shivering.
