Can stopping silent seizures save brain function after a stroke?

NCT ID NCT02631759

Summary

This study tested whether giving a seizure-preventing drug right after a bleeding stroke could stop seizures and improve recovery. It involved 104 adults who had recently suffered this type of stroke. Patients were randomly assigned to receive either the real drug or a placebo to see which group had fewer seizures and better long-term outcomes.
