First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests if a natural oil (palmitoleic acid) applied to the skin can prevent pressure injuries (bedsores) in 60 hospital patients at high risk. Researchers will use special scanners to detect early signs of skin damage before it becomes visible. The goal is to see if the oil is safe and effective at stopping bedsores from forming.
