First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests two different malaria prevention medicines in 1,000 school children in rural Malawi. The goal is to see if giving preventive treatment to students can reduce malaria infections and anemia in the children themselves, and also lower the spread of malaria to younger kids living in their homes. The study compares the two treatments against standard care (no preventive medicine).
