Summary

This study is testing whether a new drug called zelpultide alfa can prevent a serious lung condition called bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in extremely premature babies. The drug is given directly into the windpipe of babies who are already on a ventilator, alongside standard care. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo to see if it reduces the rate of severe BPD or death.
