New hope for dialysis patients: drug may stop blood pressure crashes

Summary
This study tests whether a drug called icatibant can prevent sudden drops in blood pressure that often happen during dialysis. About 26 adults with kidney failure who have frequent low blood pressure episodes during dialysis will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if the drug helps keep blood pressure stable and reduces symptoms.
