Summary

This study tests if using a special vacuum device inside the body right after colorectal cancer surgery can prevent leaks where the intestine is reconnected. About 110 adults having surgery for colorectal cancer will either get the vacuum therapy or standard care. The main goal is to see if fewer leaks happen within 30 days after surgery.
