NCT ID NCT07208786

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach to prevent a serious complication called anastomotic leakage after colorectal cancer surgery. About 110 adults having surgery for colorectal cancer will either get a temporary tube placed inside the bowel (endoscopic vacuum therapy) right after surgery or receive standard care. The goal is to see if the tube reduces leaks within 30 days and helps patients recover faster.
