Summary
This study tested a new multi-line device (Edelvaiss Multiline NEO) to see if it could prevent bloodstream infections caused by catheters in premature infants. The study included 87 very low birth weight babies born between 24 and 29 weeks who needed a central line. The device was compared to standard infusion sets to see if it reduced infection rates.
