Hospital walking program aims to keep seniors stronger, out of bed
NCT ID NCT06802289
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether older hospital patients (50+) who get multiple daily visits from a kinesiologist walk more, become less frail, and leave the hospital sooner compared to those who get just one visit. About 80 participants will wear activity monitors to track their movement. The goal is to see if more activity during a hospital stay can prevent the decline in health that often leads to readmission.
