First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at 50 children having heart catheterization under general anesthesia. It compares two drug combinations—dexmedetomidine with midazolam versus ketamine with midazolam—to see which better prevents emergence delirium (confusion, restlessness, crying) when waking up. The goal is to find a safer, more comfortable recovery for these young patients.
