NCT ID NCT07302815
First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a very small dose of a sedative drug (dexmedetomidine) before septoplasty (nose surgery) can prevent the confusion and agitation some patients experience when waking up from anesthesia. The trial involves 120 adults aged 18 to 60 who are otherwise healthy. Researchers will compare those who receive the drug to those who receive a placebo (inactive substance) to see if the drug reduces agitation without causing side effects.
