Summary
This study looks at whether alerting clinical pharmacists about diabetes risk can help prevent type 2 diabetes in younger adults with serious mental illness. People with conditions like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder are at higher risk for diabetes, partly due to medication side effects. The study will involve about 20,000 participants and track whether more patients get recommended blood sugar tests and check-ups.
