New study aims to stop chronic pain after chest surgery

Summary
This study compares two ways to block pain during lung surgery (VATS) to see if they can prevent chronic pain that lasts for months. Forty adults having planned lung surgery will receive either an ultrasound-guided nerve block or a surgeon-given block. Researchers will track pain levels and painkiller use for a year after surgery.
