New drug combo tested to ease debilitating chemo side effects
NCT ID NCT06007586
Summary
This study tested whether adding a drug called aprepitant to the standard two-drug anti-nausea regimen works better to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by a common chemotherapy for gynecologic cancers. It involved 143 women with ovarian, cervical, or other gynecologic tumors who were scheduled for at least two cycles of chemotherapy. The trial directly compared the three-drug combination against the standard two-drug approach to see which provided better, longer-lasting relief.
