Summary
This study tests a prevention bundle for hospital patients at high risk of getting a C. difficile infection. The bundle includes identifying patients who carry the germ without symptoms and then giving them personalized care to prevent them from getting sick or spreading it to others. The goal is to reduce the number of hospital-onset C. diff infections, which cause over 29,000 deaths each year in the U.S.
