New radiation technique aims to ease lung cancer symptoms with fewer side effects

Summary

This study compares standard palliative radiation to a newer, more targeted technique that avoids the esophagus. The goal is to deliver a higher radiation dose to lung tumors while reducing side effects, ultimately helping patients live longer with a better quality of life. About 141 adults with lung cancer who need symptom relief will take part.
