First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested a program where parents helped their preterm babies with gentle sounds and touches in the hospital. The goal was to see if this could improve how the babies' brains process multiple senses at once, and later help with language and movement. 248 preterm infants took part. The study measured brain activity and later checked how babies reacted to their surroundings.
