Womb's electrical activity may predict early labor
NCT ID NCT03144141
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring the electrical activity of the uterus (called an electrohysterogram, or EHG) can help doctors spot the risk of preterm birth earlier. Researchers monitored 100 pregnant women who were hospitalized for threatened premature delivery. The goal was to see if EHG could improve early diagnosis and care, potentially reducing the number of premature births.
