Scientists probe belly pressure during heart zaps
NCT ID NCT06876896
Summary
This study aims to understand if pressure inside the belly changes during a heart procedure called pulsed field ablation, which treats irregular heartbeats. Researchers will measure this pressure in 50 adult patients using a special monitor attached to a standard urinary catheter. They want to see if the pressure is different when patients receive general anesthesia versus lighter sedation, and if it relates to safety issues like breathing problems after the procedure.
