New program boosts HIV prevention pill use in eastern europe

Summary
This study tested a program to help gay and bisexual men in Romania start and stick with PrEP, a daily pill that prevents HIV. 120 men at high risk for HIV took part. The program combined in-person visits with mobile health tools to support PrEP use. Results will guide HIV prevention efforts in other Central-Eastern European countries.
