New push to get HIV prevention pills to women at risk
NCT ID NCT06335121
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to help Black women get prescriptions for PrEP, a daily pill that prevents HIV infection. Researchers will work with Planned Parenthood clinics in Illinois to test different support strategies for doctors and patients. The goal is to overcome common barriers so more women at risk—particularly those with a recent sexually transmitted infection—can easily access this preventive medication.
