First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking tirzepatide for three months before bariatric surgery can reduce inflammation and lead to better weight loss and health improvements after surgery. About 50 adults with obesity and related health problems will either take the drug or not before their scheduled surgery. Researchers will compare inflammation levels, weight changes, and complication rates between the two groups.
