Summary

This study tested giving a precise, high-dose radiation treatment before surgery to remove brain metastases in 70 adults with cancer. The goal was to see if this approach could better control tumor regrowth at 6 months. Participants had up to 4 brain tumors from breast, digestive, or lung cancer and were healthy enough for both surgery and radiation.
