New drug combo before sarcoma surgery shows promise in early trial

Summary
This study tested whether adding the drug fluzoparil to radiation therapy before surgery is safe and effective for people with soft tissue sarcoma in the arms, legs, or trunk. Fifty-two adults took part. The main goal was to see how many had major wound problems within 4 months after surgery. The study also tracked side effects, quality of life, and limb function.
