Inclusion Criteria: * Patients diagnosed with lung cancer who are hospitalized for elective thoracic surgery * Aged 18 years and older * Able to read, write, and speak Turkish * Able to understand the information provided and without any condition that interferes with verbal communication * Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0, 1, or 2 * Patients scheduled for lung resection via thoracotomy * Patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia Exclusion Criteria: * Patients with chronic pain in the preoperative period who are using analgesic medications for pain management * Patients receiving antineoplastic treatment * Patients undergoing reoperation due to lung cancer * Patients with an ECOG performance status greater than 2 * Patients diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer * Patients with limited mobility in the preoperative period
