Summary

This study looks at whether feeling distressed before surgery is linked to confusion (delirium), pain, and longer hospital stays after major orthopedic surgery in people aged 65 and older. Researchers will measure distress before surgery and track recovery outcomes in 150 participants. The goal is to better identify patients at risk and improve care.
