First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether taking a combination of trypsin, bromelain, and rutoside before a root canal helps numb the tooth better and reduces pain afterward. 124 adults with painful tooth inflammation (pulpitis) were given either the medication or a placebo. The goal was to see if this gentler anti-inflammatory could improve anesthesia success and lower post-treatment pain compared to standard options.
