Summary

This study is testing whether sending specialized medical teams with portable heart-lung bypass machines to cardiac arrest scenes can restart blood flow faster and improve survival. The research involves 20 adults in Pavia, Italy who experience witnessed cardiac arrest that doesn't respond to standard CPR. The goal is to see if this advanced treatment can be safely delivered outside hospitals to give patients a better chance at survival with good brain function.
