Prehabilitation program aims to boost strength and mood in head and neck cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether a personalized program of exercise, nutrition advice, and counseling—started about 4 weeks before cancer treatment and continued through therapy—can help head and neck cancer patients maintain physical function, reduce malnutrition risk, and improve quality of life. Sixty adults scheduled for surgery or chemoradiotherapy will participate. The program's success will be measured by how well patients stick with it and by changes in walking ability, hand strength, and emotional well-being.
