First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a personalized fitness and health program before major gastrointestinal cancer surgery can reduce serious complications within 30 days after the operation. About 400 adult patients scheduled for elective surgery will either receive standard care or the extra pre-surgery program. The goal is to see if getting patients in better shape beforehand leads to fewer complications and a quicker return to normal walking ability.
