Summary
This study looked at whether measuring a specific protein (ADAMTS13) in the blood of pregnant women with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) could help predict their risk of developing pre-eclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication. Researchers analyzed stored blood samples from 513 women in a French medical cohort who became pregnant after an APS diagnosis. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future risk assessment, not to test a new treatment.
