Could a simple blood test predict dangerous pregnancy blood pressure?

NCT ID NCT06362356

Summary

This study aims to understand if a substance called TMAO, which is produced by gut bacteria, is linked to developing high blood pressure during pregnancy. Researchers will follow 200 pregnant women, collecting blood and urine samples throughout their pregnancy to measure TMAO levels. The goal is to see if TMAO can serve as an early warning sign, which could lead to better monitoring and future treatments to protect mothers and babies.
