New dosing schedule tested to better protect moms from dangerous blood clots

NCT ID NCT04861103

Summary

This study is testing if giving a common blood-thinning medication three times a day, instead of the usual twice a day, keeps drug levels more consistent in pregnant women. The goal is to provide steadier protection against dangerous blood clots, which pregnant women are at higher risk of developing. Researchers will measure anti-clotting activity in about 12 high-risk pregnant women who need this medication.
