New hope for High-Risk pregnancies: study tests if simple blood pressure control can buy more time for babies

NCT ID NCT05676476

Summary

This study is testing whether carefully lowering blood pressure in pregnant women with preeclampsia or gestational hypertension can help them stay pregnant longer. Researchers want to see if this approach allows babies more time to develop before birth, which could lead to better health outcomes for both mothers and newborns. The trial will involve 132 women who are between 23 and 36 weeks pregnant and have these blood pressure conditions without severe complications.
