NCT ID NCT07476235
First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at 90 patients with neck and arm pain caused by a pinched nerve. Researchers wanted to see if MRI scans could predict who would get good pain relief from a procedure called a stellate ganglion block, where numbing medicine is injected near nerves in the neck. They found that patients with significant fatty changes in certain neck muscles or with bony narrowing of the nerve passage were less likely to benefit. This information could help doctors choose the right patients for this treatment and avoid unnecessary procedures.
