MRI clues may predict nerve block success for pinched nerves
NCT ID NCT07476235
First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 90 adults who received a stellate ganglion block (a nerve injection) for neck and arm pain caused by a pinched nerve. Researchers wanted to see if MRI findings, like fatty changes in neck muscles or bone spurs, could predict who would get good pain relief. The goal was to help doctors choose the right patients for this procedure and avoid unnecessary treatments.
