Urine clues may predict dangerous pregnancy complication

NCT ID NCT04520048

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at whether certain substances in urine can help predict which pregnant women with high blood pressure will go on to develop pre-eclampsia, a more serious condition. Researchers will measure these markers in 110 women between 26 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. The goal is to find a simple way to identify those at highest risk, so they can be monitored more closely.
