NCT ID NCT07286422
First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether measuring the size of a vein and artery in the neck with ultrasound can help predict a sudden drop in blood pressure in older adults (65+) who get spinal anesthesia for lower body surgery. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to identify patients at higher risk, so doctors can take steps to prevent complications. The study will observe 107 participants and does not involve any new treatments.
