Lymph node clues may predict immunotherapy success in esophageal cancer

NCT ID NCT07573397

First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a specific type of immune cell (called Tpex) found in cancer-free lymph nodes can predict whether esophageal cancer will completely disappear after immunotherapy given before surgery. Researchers will compare this method to the current standard test (PD-L1 CPS). The study involves 88 adults with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma who are scheduled for surgery and immunotherapy.
