Brain scan may predict Post-Surgery 'Fog' in heart patients
NCT ID NCT07000461
Summary
This study aims to see if a special ultrasound scan of the brain can predict who will develop memory problems or confusion after heart bypass surgery. Researchers will observe 106 adult patients undergoing elective bypass surgery, measuring blood flow in their brains during the operation and checking their mental function before and after. The goal is to understand the link between blood flow during surgery and post-operative cognitive issues to help identify at-risk patients.
