Brain scan may reveal hidden risk of Post-Surgery confusion

NCT ID NCT07000461

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple brain scan can predict who might experience confusion or memory problems after heart bypass surgery. Researchers will observe 106 patients undergoing planned surgery, using a special ultrasound to measure blood flow in the brain during the operation. The goal is to understand the link between blood flow changes and post-surgery cognitive issues to help identify at-risk patients earlier.
