New approach aims to improve breast cancer surgery results

NCT ID NCT07178665

Summary

This study is testing whether giving a short, targeted course of radiation before breast cancer surgery is safe and practical. It involves 98 women with early-stage breast cancer who are eligible for breast-conserving surgery. Researchers want to see if this approach causes fewer wound problems and leads to better cosmetic outcomes compared to standard radiation given after surgery.
