First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding nitrates (found in foods like beets) to a standard pre-surgery carbohydrate drink can help women recover faster after open gynecological surgery. The goal is to reduce the length of hospital stay by easing the body's stress response to surgery. About 90 women aged 18-60 with mild health issues will participate.
