First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests if drinking a carbohydrate-rich drink (apple juice) before orthognathic (jaw) surgery can lessen post-operative nausea and vomiting. About 32 healthy adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the drink or standard care. Researchers will measure nausea intensity, medication use, and recovery time to see if this simple step improves comfort.
