Can early treatment stop vasculitis relapses? new study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT07451847
First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at people with a type of blood vessel inflammation called ANCA-associated vasculitis. It compares two approaches when signs of the disease reappear in blood tests: giving the drug rituximab right away versus waiting for symptoms to appear. The goal is to see if early treatment can prevent relapses and reduce the need for more medication. About 70 adults who have been on maintenance rituximab for at least 18 months will take part.
