Summary
This study tests whether prazosin, a blood pressure medicine, can reduce heavy drinking in 150 adults with alcohol use disorder and a history of withdrawal symptoms. Participants take prazosin or a placebo for 12 weeks, plus weekly counseling. The main goal is to see if prazosin lowers the percentage of heavy drinking days.
