New asthma drug PRA-216 enters early human trials

Summary
This study tests a new drug, PRA-216, first in healthy volunteers to check safety and dosing, then in people with mild-to-moderate asthma to see if it reduces airway inflammation. The goal is to find a safe dose and measure how well it controls asthma symptoms. About 96 participants will take part.
