Body clock proteins may forecast asthma Flare-Ups

NCT ID NCT06302959

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This observational study looked at whether proteins that control our daily body rhythms (clock proteins) can predict how severe asthma will get or how well treatment works. Researchers monitored these proteins in blood and sputum from 50 adults with severe eosinophilic asthma before and during mepolizumab therapy, comparing them to healthy controls and people with milder asthma. The goal was to see if clock proteins could serve as a marker for disease progression or remission.
