NCT ID NCT06075797

First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested whether a full-scale trial is possible for a new approach to manage recurrent pain in children with severe neurologic impairment. 54 children and their parents participated, with some receiving the PQ-ResPOND intervention (a web-based survey system plus a palliative care team consult) and others receiving usual care. The goal was to see if families and doctors would find the approach acceptable and if it shows promise for reducing pain.
